How pumpdata.fun's numbers are made
. Live freshness: /status.
Where does the data come from?
From the Solana chain's own ledger: every transaction of pump.fun's bonding-curve program and of pump.fun's PumpSwap pools, read from the chain's published archive (Old Faithful) for the deep history and from a live recorder for the last hours. No indexer's database sits in between, and dead coins are kept.
Three layers, three freshnesses
- Deep tables: every launch, wallet and deployer since pump.fun's first day, rebuilt daily from the archive, which publishes the chain about an epoch (two days) at a time. Every answer names their build in
X-Data-As-Of. - The hourly fill: what happened since that build, from the live recorder, folded in every hour: new launches, wallets' trades since, a coin's market cap now and its top traders. Answers carry the newer of the fill and the live recorder in
X-Live-As-Of. - Live: a coin minutes old is answered from the recorder's own files, and says
livein its note.
What counts as a pump.fun trade
A buy or a sell on a pump.fun bonding curve, or in the coin's own PumpSwap pool quoted in SOL (wrapped SOL), with the coin as the base token. Pools quoted in another token carry that token's amounts, not SOL, so they are left out of SOL sums. A pool with SOL as its base and the coin as its quote is read the other way round.
The point-in-time guarantee
A launch's deployer record (launches, graduations, best earlier peak, the gap to its previous launch) counts only what happened before that launch. The look-alikes (matches, /similar) are launches that looked the same at the same age, bucketed on what was knowable at that age, and their outcomes are measured over the 24 hours after it. The base rate's crossings are each coin's first trade inside a market-cap band, and the peak is the highest market cap in the three hours after. Nothing in these fields uses information from after the moment it describes, so a backtest that conditions on them has no lookahead. Fields that describe now say so in their name: insider_supply_share, market_cap_usd_now, sol_reserve_now, top_holders.
Wallet classes
A rule over the wallet's whole pump.fun record, the first that fits, with why in every answer:
- bot: over the deep tables' last 20 days, 20 or more coins bought in their create slot or the next, half or more of the new coins it bought (a sniper), or 1,500 or more trades a day.
- supply_seller: took out 1.5 times what it put in, 100 SOL or more. Its profit is what its buyers paid.
- winner: took out 10 SOL or more and 1% more than it put in, over 20 or more coin-weeks (distinct coin and week pairs).
- net_loser: put in 50 SOL or more than it took out, over 20 or more coin-weeks.
- new: no trade on record before the coin asked about, or before today when none is given.
- none: a record no rule fits;
whysays whether it is too young for the rules or fits none of them.
SOL in and out are what the wallet paid on buys and received on sells, on the curve and in pump.fun's PumpSwap pools; tokens moved by plain transfer are not trades, and an unsold balance is not counted as profit. recent is its pace over the deep tables' last 20 days: trades a day, median seconds from a coin's first buy to its first sell, the share of trades under two seconds apart.
A launch's fields
- Bundle at creation: the distinct wallets that bought on the curve in the 10 seconds after the create, by block time, and the share of the supply they still held at 10 seconds (each wallet's buys less its sells).
- curve_bought_at_launch: one or two of those wallets took 79.31% or more of the supply (the curve's 793.1M of the billion) and the coin migrated within two seconds of its create; with the share the launching wallets hold now. Why it matters.
- Insider share: the deployer and those first-10-second wallets, their net tokens over every counted trade since, as a share of the supply.
- Market cap now: the last counted trade's price times the whole supply, in SOL and in USD at that hour's SOL price; sol_reserve_now is the real SOL behind that price (the curve's, or the pool's after the trade).
- Top holders: the 20 largest token accounts read from the chain at the call, their owners, wallets only (the curve and pools are left out); top_traders: the 20 wallets with the most SOL out minus SOL in on the coin, for coins launched since the deep tables' build.
The base rate
Of the coins whose first trade inside a market-cap band fell in the window, the share whose peak market cap in the next three hours reached 2x, 5x, 10x and 20x of the band's crossing value. Every coin counts, the dead ones included. USD is at the SOL price of the trade's hour. A window that ends less than three hours before the data's as-of is cut there and says so.
What is not here
