The pump.fun dev with 146,432 launches, checked trade by trade
The Smart Ape followed one wallet that launches about 425 pump.fun coins a day and is out of each within seconds. We checked that week against every trade. The launches, the buys and the 6-second exits hold. The fake buyers losing money don't show up.
Quick answer
The wallet bwamJzztZsepfkteWRChggmXuiiCQvpLqPietdNfSXa launched 2,971 pump.fun coins between 2026-10-21 and 2026-10-27, more than any other wallet. On the coins it paired with SOL, it bought in the same transaction that created the coin (4.9, 5.9 or 11.9 SOL), made its first sell within 2 seconds on 55.6% of them, and had sold 99% of what it bought at a median 6 seconds. It cleared +6,158 SOL on those coins that week, before fees, and was up every day. Everyone else who traded them on the curve in their first 60 seconds put in 71,672 SOL and took out 55,499.
The Smart Ape's thread on this wallet holds up on almost every count we can measure. One part doesn't: the wallets that buy right behind the dev made money on its coins, they didn't lose it.
The thread
The Smart Ape spent a week inside one wallet: about 140,000 pump.fun launches in 15 months, roughly $16.6m sent to a vault, no bot. The method in five steps: launch on the news first, buy 5 to 12 SOL in the create, sell within 6 seconds, have 7 dev-funded wallets buy at +4 seconds so copy bots follow, and sweep the profit every night.
We record every pump.fun trade, ever, so we pulled the same week, 2026-10-21 to 2026-10-27 UTC, and checked it.
The same wallet, the same week
| the thread | our trades | |
|---|---|---|
| coins launched | 2,971 | 2,971 |
| different tickers | 1,455 | 1,607 |
| launches 02:00 to 08:00 UTC | "almost stop" | 33 in those 6 hours (busiest single hour: 288) |
| its buy in the create | 5, 6 or 12 SOL | 4.9 SOL on 580, 5.9 on 671, 11.9 on 772 |
| first sell within 2 s | 56% | 55.6% |
| fully out, median | 6 s | 6 s |
| fully out within 10 s | 79% | 79.1% |
| its profit for the week | +8,400 SOL | +6,158 SOL |
| its worst day | +872 SOL | +580 SOL |
| everyone else, first 60 s | 61,305 SOL in, 45,318 out (26% lost) | 71,672 SOL in, 55,499 out (22.6% lost) |
"Fully out" here means it had sold 99% of the tokens it bought. Its first sells came at a median 2 seconds. The repeated tickers match too: SI 32 times, AI 28, CYBER 21, ELON 17. Our "everyone else" is every wallet but the dev, 25,447 of them, which is why our totals run larger than the thread's; the share lost comes out close. Only 53 of the 2,971 coins graduated.
Why our profit is lower: a third of its coins aren't paired with SOL
922 of its 2,971 coins (31%) trade on pump.fun curves quoted in another token instead of SOL. One of them, CYBERLEEK (5SUkfoRgEbvSsiyk1cWiDxEftVPPujqdG9HyQmc5EA6t), has a curve that holds TTWO, Take-Two shares tokenized by Backpack Securities (TTWofwAge91oFhZs7kpQdyrVRkmevgM88xijGvQFbKo). We record the token side of those trades but not yet the amount of the quote token, so the +6,158 SOL covers only its 2,049 SOL-paired coins, and it leaves out its fees and creator rewards too. The thread's +8,400 SOL sits above ours for that reason.
The fake buyers
The thread's sharpest claim: 7 wallets funded only by the dev buy at +4 seconds, lose about 3,600 SOL a week on the dev's coins, and win on other people's coins, so trackers list them as smart money and copy bots follow them in.
We can't see who funds a wallet; we record trades, not transfers. Here is what the trades show. 27 wallets bought at 2 to 6 seconds on 5% or more of its coins. Together they made +14,451 SOL on its SOL-paired coins, and 1 of the 27 lost money. The two biggest:
| wallet | its coins bought | median buy | bought at | net on its coins |
|---|---|---|---|---|
2YDnmMQt7x7Y3VFounzsnZ3s8TdozqWyK9qeQPWY9saH | 1,542 | 2.96 SOL | 2 s | +5,240 SOL |
BatoJyE6rC6SZ3bsYTNep1S8Vyv2y8UFVuv8cr7NJuAw | 429 | 2.96 SOL | 6 s | +4,538 SOL |
Those look like wallets profiting from the dev's launches, not bait losing on them. The pattern the thread points at is still there: the 2,719 coins where these early buyers showed up made the dev +6,146 SOL, 66.9% of them winners, and the 241 where none did made it +13 SOL, 26.1% winners. The 7 wallets the thread means may do their buying on the stock-quoted coins, where our numbers don't reach yet.
Its whole record
146,432 pump.fun launches from this wallet, the first on 2025-08-05. The thread dates its funding to July 2025. Its busiest month was 2026-08 with 17,714 launches, the same month the thread names as its best.
It isn't the only one
Over 2026-10-18 to 2026-10-29, 695 deployers bought in at least 50% of their 20 or more launches and were fully out of at least 50% of those within 10 seconds. They launched 79,424 coins between them, 15.6% of the 510,741 launched in that window, and made +95,707 SOL on their SOL-paired coins; 600 of the 695 came out ahead. The six that made the most:

28 wallets launched 1,000 or more coins in that window, and 20 of them bought in their own creates. A wallet with thousands of launches can be a launch service creating coins for its users, or one trader. Whether it buys its own coins tells the two apart.
How to check a coin's dev
The coin check now says how a coin's deployer trades its own coins: how many of its launches over the last ten days it bought in the create, how many it was out of within 10 seconds, its median exit and its net. When it buys in at least half and is out of at least half within 10 seconds, the check raises deployer_sells_fast. The same numbers are in the JSON (deployer.own_coins on GET https://pumpdata.fun/check/{mint}.json and on the deployer call). This wallet's page: bwamJzzt. On these deployers' coins, the first buyers after the dev are buying what it sells.
Frequently asked questions
Who is the pump.fun dev with 140,000 launches?
The wallet bwamJzztZsepfkteWRChggmXuiiCQvpLqPietdNfSXa, with 146,432 pump.fun launches since 2025-08-05. It launched 2,971 coins from 2026-10-21 to 2026-10-27, more than any other wallet.
How fast does it sell its coins?
Its first sell came within 2 seconds on 55.6% of its SOL-paired coins that week, and it had sold 99% of what it bought at a median 6 seconds, within 10 seconds on 79.1% of them.
Are the wallets that buy right after it fake?
We can't see who funds them. On the trades, the 27 wallets that bought its coins at 2 to 6 seconds made +14,451 SOL on them, and 1 lost money.
How do I tell if a pump.fun dev sells its own coins?
Paste the coin into the coin check. It shows how often the deployer bought in its own creates over the last ten days, how fast it got out, and raises deployer_sells_fast when it does both.
